Gateway For Cancer Research
Nate met Walter Grandberry (Regional Development Officer) of Gateway For Cancer Research at a Northbrook Chamber of Commerce event several weeks ago. Gateway’s mission is to “fund meaningful and breakthrough clinical trials worldwide that help people living with cancer to feel better, live longer and conquer cancer today.” To achieve this goal, 99 cents of every dollar Gateway receives goes directly to fund Phase I and Phase II clinical trials. RDM looks forward to utilizing our network as a channel to spread awareness of this great foundation, as well as promote Gateway’s upcoming events and study findings. Their upcoming events are the “Be A Hero” Cocktail Reception that will take place at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers on Friday, October 14, 2016, and the Cures Gala 2016 which will take place at Navy Pier on Saturday, October 15, 2016. Hunger Resource Network
The Hunger Resource Network is a volunteer organization committed to alleviating hunger by connecting those who have surplus food with those who need it. They accomplish this through Community Outreach Days and partnerships with vendors at local Farmers’ Markets. Nate met Henry Fetta (Director) of Hunger Resource Network at a chamber event and immediately hit it off with their shared enthusiasm for this cause. Nate will be joining their ‘IT Committee’ in order to bring efficiency to technology use by HRN, as well as provide a fresh perspective for utilizing social media outreach. The Ruben Digital team looks forward to participating in their Meal Packaging Event at Hilton Chicago Northbrook this Thursday, August 25th.
